From Joe Roberts – Jacob Sr's will leaves a life estate to his wife Mary, with remainder interest in his two (younger) children Leonard and Peter Mock. Peter Mock died in 1866, unmarried & intestate, leaving a half-sister Catherine Murray, a half-brother Lewis Rickard and the heirs of a deceased half-brother Jacob Mock, Jr. - letters granted May 1866 – OB 4-223-308-455.

By the 1850 census, Mary, a blind widow, 50 years of age, was living with Lewis Rickard, age 30, and her Mock sons Leonard age 18 and Peter age 15.
