Inventory of estate dated 7 Mar 1750 Augusta Co., VA. Mathias Selzer assisted in the Inventory and lived next to Rudolph.;. Mildred remarried and moved to "Carolina" by 1755.

Mock lived with his mother and Paul Shumway and died at the home in 1885.

Note from J.P. Mock -Noah Lee was appointed as the guardian of Rachel's dau. Jeptha Mauck 1 Jul 1811. Several prior court records indicate a different guardian, and then indicate that it was learned that Noah Lee was Jeptha's father, so he was then appointed guardian. This would indicate Jeptha was probably born out of wedlock. Noah Lee is identified as an heir of William Lee inWilliam's will dated 7 Mar 1809. Given that Rachel was with child before 1811, she would have been too old to be Mathias Jr.'s dau. This would indicate that she was old enoughto be his sister.

I Andrew Mock of Bourbon County and state of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blesed by almighty God for the same do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret the sorrel mare and the one third of the land so long as she remains my widow-my son John to have the bay mare my Daughter Betsy to have the young sorrel mare my son Reuben to have a young sorrel horse my Daughters Kaitey, Sally and Rachel each to have a olt out of the mare already named that is to way (?) 1.3.6 -According to a typed page inserted into the old HAINES Family Bible (Haines married Ruddells,) the children of Joseph & Betsy Mock are: Stephen, Jan, Harriet, Mary & Betty..The Ruddell family figures prominarily into the Mock Family -especially Rudolph Mock and Ddescendants. Ruddell is pronounced "Riddle" and indeed the spellings had been interchanged in earlier years.

From "History of the Ancient Ryedales" by G.T. Ridlon 1884, come the article on page 369 entitled "Riddles of Riddle's Ferry, NC. Included is John Riddle b. 1802 Rowan Co., NC and married to Mary Mock, d/o Henry Mock. They settled in Hardeman Co., TN abt. 1830 and had 2 children. His widow moved back to NC and died there. John Riddleis the s/o Benjamin Riddle b. 1769 at Riddle's Ferry NC. Benjamin's father was Stephan Riddle, supposedly from Ireland, who settled on the Yadkin River near Salem NC and fought in the Revolution.
