Published Johann Andrea Endterischere (sp?), Nurnberg, 1755.  The Bible: entire Old and New Testament and the Apocrypha.  Translated:  Martin Luther (1522-1534).  Binding broken, clasps broken off.  Old German type.

Present by Mr. & Mrs. Ed H. Ehler, 24 Apr 1931. (several clippings, poems, songs enclosed.

In 1764, Feb. 23, my daughter, Catharine Agatha, was born into this world in the sign of the Archer.

In 1766, the 2nd of February, my son, Johann Adam was born into the world in the sign of the scorpion.

 

Bottom:

In 1773, on February 25, in the sign of Wieder, a son was born to me, Henry (Heinrich) Mock, and was given the name George, was baptized. The (Tauffodern) godparents(?) were John George Mock and his wife, Sophia Mock.

In 1777, on the 3rd of January, there was born to me, Henry Mock, and my wife, a son in the sign of Scorpion and was baptized, Philipphus ___(?) God grant him happiness and blessing.

 

Middle:

Elizabetha was born of honorable Christian parents in Pennsylvania, North America, in Heidelberg Twp., Lancaster County, in the year of our Lord 1768, May 28.  Her father is the honorable John Heinrich Mock.  The mother, Eva Evangeline (?), at the baptism of their child.

Elizabeth was born in the sign of the Lion. _______(cannot read). Baptized by Pastor Engelland (?) in Heiteberge (Heidelberg).

 

To me was born a son, John Henrich.  The sponsor (?) (godfather) is Adam Oberly, -----is Margreda.  Was born Anno Domini Jesus Christ 1770 on September 10.  Baptized on September 29.
